Shaws Architectural Terra Cotta’s already excellent North American capability has received a further injection of experience and passion with the appointment of Josh Saubert, a new representative to manage sales and operations in the Midwest.
Josh’s extensive understanding of the value of terra cotta as both an artistic and architectural medium was developed during periods studying art in Chicago as well as architecture and sustainable design in California. His decade-long tenure on the west coast, saw Josh expand his industry knowledge and his resume, ultimately gaining a degree in environmental science.
After familiarising himself with techniques such as technical, civil and mechanical drafting and CAD design, he spent several years refining and applying his skills as a designer and project manager for a large terra cotta manufacturer in California.
A Wealth of Experience
Following a return to Illinois, Josh was offered the position with Shaws Architectural Terra Cotta. Commenting on his new role, Josh said:
‘After recently relocating back to Chicago, I’m excited to be now representing Shaws of Darwen in the United States, assisting them in supplying quality terra cotta to the Midwest. I’m looking forward to continuing my education in architecture and pursuing my passion for terra cotta and the great buildings that are clad with it.’
Shaws MD, David Dare added:
‘Josh is a vastly experienced and knowledgeable professional with a keen interest in architectural terra cotta. We’re extremely pleased to welcome him on board at Shaws and I’m sure he’ll enhance the quality service we provide to our customers throughout the Midwest.’
